assingment #8
Here today I have a very special guest. I have the "father of Manitoba". Louis Riel was the leader of the Métis. Métis are one of the three know as Aboriginal people in Canada. He led them to two resistance movements against the Canadian government. He fought to save Métis cutler and homeland.
Sam: Thank you so much for taken time out of your bussy schedule and coming here to answer my questions.
Louis: No problem I am excited to be here today.
Sam: Some people think that you are a hero and others think you are a villain what would you say you are?
Louis: I know that not everyone fells the same but I believe that I am a hero to many. I brought awareness to metis problems. I feel that what I did was the write thing to do.
Sam: so I see that you still stand behind your decision. What did it feel like when you surrendered and where going to Regina to stand trial? What where you thinking that must have been a really scary situation knowing that you could get the death treatment?
Louis: Ya I was real scared and worried. I won't say I wasn't but it still doesn't change anything. I was scared to die scared that we lost but I am proud of what I did and I would do it again if I needed to. When I was standing there and they where reading all the reason that I was getting hanged I was thinking about how we would have been worse off if I hadn't steeped in and about how many people think of me as a hero. I forgot at that point about all the people that think that I was wrong and that I was evil and focus on the people that said I was a hero and that what I did was right.
Sam: Well that some positive thinking! My last question for the day is that there was a lot of people that say you where faking the mental problems and other that say actually had some mental problems. What do you say to that? Where you or weren't you telling the truth?
Louis: The people can believe what ever they wasn't to believe. If they think that I just made it all up to get mercy then they are wrong. I will admit that I had some problems for a few months hut got over it. The doctors did clam that I was sane and had no problems in my mental care. I believe that they where wrong but all my problems ended when I meet this one girl. Her name was Evelina and she helped me through some tough times.

Assignment # 7
4. a) I enjoyed all of them a lot I exceptionally loved learning about all the contributions that females have done. I would have to say that "we fought" was my favourite out of them all. They all fought really hard for something they believe in. I admire them so much for that.
I got all my great information from this great site.
c)There are lots of people that would that they could add to this website. One of the people that would be great for this assignment. One person that would be good for this web site is Dirk Graham. He was the fist hockey captain that was of African Heritage. One more great African Canadian is Mathieu Costa and he was actually the first person to set foot in Canada. The last person that I think should be on this website is Daniel Gali and he is a Olympic medalist in wrestler.
To learn more about Matheiu Costa check out Kerry's Blog.
To learn more about Daniel Gali Check out Jaspreet's Blog.
7)The history-maker that I got the most in common with is James Naismith. He was the guy who invented the popular game of basketball. I figured it out very fast. By the second clue I knew exactly who I got. When it said that the "Naismith memorial basketball hall of fame bears my name." I was easy for me to figure it out because I already knew his last name. Well me and James both love to play sports. He' done many of the same sports that I've done. Also I love to make up games that I think will be fun for others to play. He also belonged to many sports teams and other clubs just like me.Also we both believe that sports and education are very important. There are some differences although we are similar in many ways. Fist of all he is big and famous and his new game went international and mine are vary rarely approved by my friends. When he was younger he went to World War I. I respect him a lot for that but I am not planing on joining the military when i grow up.

Portia White
Portia white was an amazing Canadian vocalist. She was born in Truro, Nova Scotia. She started her career at the age of six. When she was six years old she joined her father's church choir. Her father would organize small concerts to raise money and she would perform at the concerts. At the age of seventeen she she received her first big win. She won a silver cup in the Nova Scotia music festival. That's when it all started. She then received a scholar ship to the Halifax Ladies Music Club. She was attending the Halifax conservatory of music.
Portia White was one of the best Canadian contralto singers there is. She made her first debut in Toronto 1941. She then made her big international debut in 1944 in New York City. The concert to the Queen was the last big performance for Portia White . The reason why is that she got a rasp in her voice which made her retire early. After her retirement she went back to teaching. Portia White taught some of Canadians great pop singer.
Portia was one of eleven children in her family. Portia's family was famouse just like Portia. She had a brother named Bill who was the first Canadian with African heritage to run for political office. She also had a brother named Jack who was a noted Canadian labour union. Bill had two famous kids who where Chris who was a musician and Shelia who was a politician. Her Father Rev. William Andrew White was the first African Canadian to graduate from Acadia University.

assignement # 4
Andi's blog entry about what he thinks that it will be like 2109 was really cool and had some interesting points. My favourite part was when he said that he thinks there will be medicine that will keep us alive longer."I think theres going to be pills that make you live longer until like 135 years old."[SIC] Andi had a lot of other great ideas on his blog.
Colton
In 2109 i believe there will be all new technology, like talking robot butlers, rocket cars, floating cities, and who knows, maybe we will be trading stocks with martians! This is part of Coltons very interesting blog entry. He thinks that there will be a lot of great new thing but he would be alive to see them. I think his entry was very cool and I loved that he talked about martins.
These are some of the great blogs done by some of the kids in E7A you should check them out.

In this assignment I will be estimating the answer to Christopher Moore's question what will 2109 be like. Check out Christopher Moore's history blog http://christophermoorehistory.blogspot.com/.
I think that in the year 2109 we will have had a black prime minister and also a girl prime minister in Canada. U.S.A will have had a girl presedent that did a great job and everyone thought see did a great job. We will have had progress with the gas problem. All cars will be run on electricity and not gasoline. This will solve alot of the population problem in the world. It will also save alot of the people money. The reason is that they wouldn'd ned to have to go and get gas all the time all they will need to do is plug in there car at night. Lastly most teaching will be on the blogs. The only subject that will not be on bloggers.com will be gym. With all this new tecnoligy everyone will know how to blog by then.
